Belin-Blank Programs
Belin-Blank summer programs take place on the U of I campus and provide classes in subjects from engineering & math to creative writing & mythology. There’s even a summer research program for high-schoolers. Serves 3rd-11th graders and is by application only.

UI Wildlife Camps
Wildlife Camps are outdoor day-camps based at the Macbride Nature Recreation Area. Sessions for Pre-K through 12th graders provide kids with accessible opportunities to have unique educational experiences and create meaningful connections with nature.

UI Music Camps
Have a musician in the house? The UI School of Music invites students who have completed sixth grade and above to campus for more specialized musical training in their instrument and study with music faculty and nationally-recognized guest artists.

Iowa Young Writers' Studio
A two-week UI summer residential program for 10-12th graders, students will choose a single core course—poetry, fiction, creative writing, playwriting, or TV writing. Admission is by application only.

FilmScene Animation Camp
In addition to several weeklong summer animation camps, FilmScene offers a spring break camp. Sessions for 3rd-8th grades, you’ll get 5 days of learning to create their own animations, totally from scratch. Has your kid attended before? They could attend the advanced animation camp!

North Liberty Parks & Rec
This is a ten week program providing recreational activities, supervision and guidance for children K-6th grade during the summer. Program offered weekly, Monday-Friday from 7am to 6pm.

UI Athletic Dept offers loads of weeklong & weekend camps throughout the year. Whether your child wants to try a new sport or learn skill in a favorite sport, there are plenty of options! Soccer, Golf, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Wrestling are open already, with more listings soon!

Country Camp
Country Camp is a summer program for children ages 5-13 (K-8th). Located on 14.5 acres just outside of Iowa City, the camp offers a wide range of outdoor activities and imaginative play!

Elementary Day Camps
Many Before and After School programs have summer day camps as well! Check with your school to see if they have space available. Some schools will open their summerlong day camps to all students when spots are available. With trips into the community, pool days, and many fun activities, kids keep playing and learning throughout the summer!

Hustling Hawkeyes Youth Camps
Hustling Hawkeyes Youth Camps are designed for children aged 7 - 12, wanting to discover new talents, be active, and have fun while playing a variety of sports and recreational activities! All experience levels are welcome. Camp groups will be co-ed, a combination of all skill levels, and will only be split based on age.

Iowa Gym Nest Camp
Iowa Gym Nest camps aren’t listed quite yet - usually posted in March, they provide camps for all levels of gymnast from beginner to experienced athlete. With fun themes from Super Heroes to Fairy Tales to Pokemon, your kids will be having great adventures all week long.

Iowa City Girls Softball
They are a Recreational Softball league for girls from kindergarten to high school. We are dedicated to a fun friendly environment for girls to learn the game of softball. Iowa City Girls Softball is entirely run by volunteers, and we welcome and need parent participation.

Iowa City Boys Baseball
Iowa City boys baseball serves Iowa City youth with an opportunity to learn baseball, teamwork and meet new friends. The league began in 1956 and started with 16 teams and only 2 bags of equipment. In 1960. Spring/summer registration opens Feb.1, 2024 at 8 a.m.
Practices begin in April and the season runs through June.
